Shopping

Ordsall is ideally located for those who enjoy a spot of retail therapy.

A short walk from Hulton Square is Regent Retail Park which offers a variety of high street stores such as Sainsbury’s, Boots, TK Maxx and Argos.

Less than half a mile away in Salford Quays is The Lowry Outlet Centre – home to more than 80 stores. The centre boasts the UK’s largest Nike and Marks & Spencer outlet stores, together with Gap, Molton Brown, Flannels, Whistles and a whole host of other designer names.

After a hard day’s shopping, visitors can stop for a bite to eat at one of the many restaurants including Pizza Express, Bella Italia and Cafe Rouge or catch the latest blockbuster at the Vue multiplex cinema.

A range of shops and restaurants will soon open at the adjacent MediaCityUK development including a Booths supermarket, the first to open in Greater Manchester.

In autumn 2011, Ordsall itself is set to become a haven for shoppers with the opening of Radclyffe Park, a new £50m retail development on Trafford Road. Created by LPC Living, the scheme will be home to a Morrisons superstore, Travelodge hotel and a dozen new high street stores.

Just three miles away is The Trafford Centre, one of Europe’s largest and most popular shopping centres.
